Hi, my name is Brandee. 

I was picked up as a stray wandering aimlessly down a busy street in a Nebraska town and taken to the local Animal Shelter.  After no one came to re-claimed me, the evaluation by the on call Vet determined I was an older furkid that most likely had some health (endocrine) issues that their shelter would not be able to addressed with their financial limitations.  As they'd done in the past, they contacted my foster mom at Sheltie Shack Rescue of Kansas who said that wasn't a problem and that she'd come get me.   As with all seniors, she had a complete blood panel with additional thyroid level run on me when we got back home.   As suspected, my thyroid level was too low and that's a good part of why my hair looks so pitiful right now (along with someone playing amateur groomer, sigh).  I will need to take a tiny pill every day for the rest of my life.  It's not all that bad because I'm also getting a soft treat called Phycox (she says it's my ortho supplement, sure tastes like a treat though) and the tiny pill fits nicely inside of it and I don't even know I'm taking it...or so she thinks, ha.  Amazingly, I also think I'm moving around better now too. She says if I take off maybe a pound or two it will even help that much more.  

I love posing with the posies too.....sure hope someone will find me irresistible soon and make me their own.
